We have done a great job of programming civilians into combat soldiers but have failed at un-programming all combat soldiers back into valuable citizens. Heroes and Horses seeks to break the “Broken Digger” narrative and helps combat veterans to rediscover who they truly are beyond their military service by undertaking a demanding 41-day “Hero’s Journey” and a process of “un-programming”.
It is no secret that combat can have a profound and life changing impact on an individual; notwithstanding, it is struggle that gives life value and it is pressure that enables an individual to strengthen their perseverance. This is why our program focusses on applying constant pressure over time to allow a combat veteran to rediscover their true purpose and inner strength.
